Goutam Buddha Social Welfare Mission donated textbook and stationary to the poor tribal children in a tribal village called Mohanpur in the Saraikella Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, India. We also called the parents of the children in our workshop .
Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission in association with The Tibet Market Association donated winter clothes to the students of a rural school. The President of Tibet Market association, Mr. Funso and the members actively helped us in this noble work.
The Wisdom Project which ran by Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission organised workshop
for several days. The motto of the project is to enlight the ordained monks and devotees
wisdom of Buddhism.
The workshop was attended by

in which they were guided
by the environment experts and
taught different methods of
plantation, gardening to make the environment green and safe.
Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission organised a workshop in Barrackpore, West Bengal. In this workshop children were taught the art of meditation and were made aware to the benefits of meditation and it's importance. Our senior monk and child expert guided the children throughout the workshop.
Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission organised health camp during Kathina Chivara Danotsava at Bangladesh Monastery in Bodh Gaya in 2019 in the month of November. The devotees were offered medical health assistance where free medical check up and medicine were distributed. Besides that tea and snacks were offered to devotees by GBSWM.
Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission organised women empowerment project in which tribal/rural area women were given skill training such as tailoring, beautician, computer basics, etc. The motto was to empower women in rural areas and make them self employed. Hii! I am Seema from Mohanpur Village which is tribal area of Jharkhand. I was trained under the women empowerment skill training program by Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission and learned the skill of tailoring and got certificate from GBSWM. Now I am self employed and I run my own tailoring shop. Thanks to GBSWM.
Goutam Buddha Social & Welfare Mission is one of the first organisation in East India to work with the tribal youth and ordained monks. More organisations need to work like this for preserving Buddhism and it's values since the Buddhist Dhamma is depleting in India slowly.
